Mark Lanegan and Not Waving team for new LP (listen to "The Broken Man")

Electronic musician Not Waving has teamed with alt-rock vet Mark Lanegan (here going by Dark Mark) for a collaborative album, Downwelling, due August 2 via Ecstatic Recordings. (That’s the cover art above.) Not Waving provides a blissful, ambient backdrop, and Dark Mark lives up to his name with all the grizzled wisdom you’d hope for. Mark was on tour with Simon Bonney earlier this year and has his own solo album, Somebody’s Knocking, due out this fall.
