Fellow prog-metal monsters Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan have announced an one-off show in Philadelphia on May 5. Tickets are currently on Ticketmaster presale and go on sale to the general public March 25 at noon.

Mastodon have also been announced for Norway's huge festival Øya, which goes down on August 9-13. The rest of that lineup includes PJ Harvey, Eagles of Death Metal, Massive Attack, New Order, Jason Isbell, M83, Kvelertak, Lush, Neurosis, Beach Slang, Anderson.Paak, Julia Holter, Thundercat, CHVRCHES, Kamasi Washington and more. Tickets for that are on sale now.

Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor recently mentioned to Live Nation that Mastodon is about to begin writing a new album. So hopefully there will be some news on that in the coming months.
