Neo-soul/R&B great Maxwell just released blackSUMMERS’night, his first album in seven years, and brought his tour in support of it to the just-opened Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on Saturday (7/9). Before Maxwell came on stage, Prince's "Kiss" played as images projected on the screen, ending with just the words "Black Summers Night." He played stuff off the new album and of course old favorites too, and he did another Prince tribute by playing "Nothing Compares 2 U."
