Megadeth, Lamb of God, Trivium, In Flames doing stream event on what would've been tour kickoff

The summer leg of the Megadeth / Lamb of God / Trivium / In Flames “Metal Tour of the Year” was postponed until 2021 (and the fall 2020 leg is still on for now, but postponement seems inevitable), so instead, they’re honoring what would have been the kickoff date (Friday, June 12) with a streaming event, where each band will stream new interviews and past live performances. SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin will host.

Megadeth will stream the secret show they played at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar in 2016, LOG will stream the surprise show they played at House of Vans Chicago earlier this year, Trivium will stream their DreamHack Dallas 2019 set, and In Flames will stream their 2019 headlining set from their own Borgholm Brinner festival.

The stream goes down at metaltouroftheyear.com on Friday at 5 PM ET, and there will also be new limited edition merchandise to accompany the stream. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Crew Nation, a Live Nation initiative which benefits road crew members.

Meanwhile, Lamb of God’s new self-titled album comes out next week (6/19).
