Melvins are releasing a new double album this year, A Walk With Love and Death (due 7/7 via Ipecac), and they've just announced a very extensive tour in support of it. They'll be on the road from early July through early October. All dates are with the Deftones-approved Spotlights, who recently signed to Ipecac and will release a new album on the label this fall.

The tour hits NYC on August 3 at Irving Plaza and Asbury Park on August 5 at The Stone Pony. Tickets for both go on sale Friday (4/28) at 10 AM and the Irving Plaza show has Live Nation/Music Geeks presales starting Thursday (4/27) at 10 AM.

Melvins also open Tool's massive show at the Glen Helen Amphitheater (fka San Manuel Amphitheater) in San Bernardino, California on June 24, which also includes Primus, The Crystal Method, and one more TBA. That's right at the tail-end of Tool's 2017 tour. All Melvins dates are listed below.

In addition to the Melvins' currently lineup of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover, and Redd Kross' Steve McDonald, A Walk With Love and Death will feature Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago, Le Butcherettes singer Teri Gender Bender (who Buzz and Dale play with in Crystal Fairies), and that dog. singer Anna Waronker (who's married to Steve McDonald).

Dale is also now a member of Redd Kross, and that band's got a new album and tour coming as well. that dog. also have a new album coming (their first in two decades) and they're playing Retreat From the Sun in full at Riot Fest.
