YELLOW EYES (with Mick Barr)

Almost a decade into their career and and over 3 months after they released Rare Field Calling (though a second pressing us up for pre-order now), NYC's Yellow Eyes will celebrate one of this year's best black metal records at a record release show happening October 11 at Union Pool in Brooklyn. Krallice's Mick Barr (who contributed to their new album) and Morbid Sphere (mems of Ruin Lust, Anicon, Sanguine Eagle) open the show. No other Yellow Eyes dates are announced at the moment.

Viral Mongolian folk metal band The Hu began their North American tour this week, and they'll hit Riot Fest's all-metal stage this Saturday with Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, and GWAR. They also have three upcoming NYC-area shows and many other dates.

In addition to touring with Agnostic Front, Prong have a hometown show with fellow NYC vets Merauder. All dates here.

As mentioned, NYHC vets Youth of Today and Judge are playing back to back shows in Asbury Park this November, and now openers have been revealed for each. YOT's show is with The Fight, Chrome Skulls, Crucial Youth, Gel, and Redactor; and Judge's show is with Blind Justice, Stag Party, Sunstroke, and Misconduct. More info here.

Metal bands Skullshitter and Bleeding Out are releasing a split and touring together.

Influential CA melodic hardcore vets Taken returned last year with their first release in 14 years, the With Regard To EP. Live shows from them are still a pretty rare occurrence, though, especially on the East Coast, but they've announced a few.
