Mew made a video with 1,000 fans for "The Night Believer"

Everyone’s favorite woozy prog-rock Danes Mew enlisted the help of 1,000 fans from 65 countries to make their new video for “The Night Believer,” as featured on their newest album +/-.

Mew gave fans access to their own digital workbooks via Microsoft’s OneNote app, where participants could view and interact with all creative data channeled into the project. Fans shared photos of themselves performing the song, all of which were cut into the video alongside Mew’s own performance. It’s always nice to see such solid support for a band, and their varied visages are nicely soundtracked by “The Night Believer”‘s warm roll.

The video, directed by Danish animator William Reynish, comes hot off the laurels of a tour announcement with The Dodos, who also released a new album this year. Tickets for their NYC show October 10 at Webster Hall are on presale now (password = waterslides).
