Things are stirring in the world of mewithoutYou. Last year, they celebrated the 15th anniversary of their debut album [A–>B] Life by playing it in full on tour. The Philly band now revealed that their hometown stop of the tour at The TLA was filmed by Arsenal Mediaworks and will be turned into the concert film [A–>B] Live. They say “more details will be available shortly,” but in the meantime, they released the video of “I Never Said That I Was Brave,” which looks and sounds awesome. Check it out below.

mewithoutYou revealed in April that they have a new Will Yip-produced album that they expect to release this fall. “It covers new heavy territory I don’t think we’ve never been in,” said drummer Rickie Mazzotta. “[Frontman] Aaron [Weiss]’s taken a scream. And [there’s] instrumental territory that’s trippy, weird, stuff we never would have dreamed of doing…Trippy in a heavy sense, and a chill sense. The summation of our whole career is on this, and then some.” Stay tuned for more on that.

The band also just played two shows with Tigers Jaw — Hamden, CT’s Space Ballroom on Wednesday (6/20) and Asbury Park, NJ’s Asbury Lanes last night (6/21) — and, excitingly, these were their first shows with longtime bassist Greg Jehanian back in the band. He left in 2016 (and was replaced by Dominic Angelella), but he officially announced his return last week, writing:

Unintentionally wearing the same clothes as when I announced my departure from @mewithoutyou , I wanted to formally announce my return. Coming back to the band was unexpected to say the least, but the season and needs of the band family organically lined up with the season and needs of my own family, creating an opportunity to be together again. I’m grateful for the opportunity, grateful for the loving support of @thisnoisyvillage , and look forward to seeing friends out on the road again. Much love and peace! 🙏🏽

You can watch a video of mewithoutYou (Greg included) playing “O, Porcupine” at Asbury Lanes last night, and see the setlist from that show, below.

mewithoutYou’s next (and only upcoming) show is the inaugural Three Stacks Music Festival in Michigan on Saturday (6/23) with Against Me!, Murder by Death, PUP, Screaming Females, Camp Cope, Petal and City Mouse (tickets).

mewithoutYou also updated their Facebook with new band artwork, and you can see that here:
