Michael Dorf talking about new book with Peter Shapiro in NYC this week
Michael Dorf, who started Knitting Factory and now runs City Winery, just released a new book titled Indulge Your Senses: Scaling Intimacy in a Digital World. Here’s the synopsis:
After starting two iconic music venues and surviving the dot-com bust, Michael Dorf offers gripping stories and hard-earned business lessons with a contrarian twist. On Wednesday, October 30 at ROOM C95 (238 Thompson St, NYU Global Center for Academic & Spiritual Life) Dorf will talk about the book with another veteran NYC venue owner, Peter Shapiro (Brooklyn Bowl, Capitol Theatre, Wetlands). The discussion is also include “their experiences founding four legendary music venues.” That event is free with RSVP.
The new City Winery NYC at Pier 57 is set to open in early 2020.
