Micheal Sheen sang Silver Jews' "How Can I Love You (If You Won't Lie Down)" on last night's 'The Good Fight'

David Berman must be all part of the cosmic unconsciousness right now. Not only did he officially announce his new project Purple Mountains today, his old band, The Silver Jews’ song “How Can I Love You (If You Won’t Lie Down)” was featured on CBS All Access series’ The Good Fight. Not as a music cue, but sung acapella by actor Michael Sheen, who plays sleazy lawyer Roland Blum, who sings the song’s opening lines — “Fast cars, fine ass / These things will pass / And it won’t get more profound / Time is a game / Only children play well / How can I love you / If you won’t lie down” as a come on to Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). Watch that, and listen to the original (which also features in the episode), below.

Michael Sheen eats up the scenery on The Good Fight and looks like he’ll be doing the same on the upcoming series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel Good Omens that co-stars David Tennant.
