Mick Jenkins shares "Spread Love" off 'The Healing Component' LP, touring

After a run of mixtapes and an EP, Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins has announced a release date for his debut album The Healing Component. The LP drops September 23rd via Mick’s Free Nation label. Along with the album release date, Mick has released his first single from the album and announced a North American tour with St. Louis rapper Smino.

The single, “Spread Love”, ties into Mick’s vision with the album. In regards to the album and the tour in general Mick says he’s “just trying to see how much love is out there in the world in a time where we need it the most. It’s so easy to hate, have a negative opinion. I want to actively talk about love- what it is, what it means to people, what it looks like and in just mere conversation that energy might be transferred. But with the music, that is precisely what we aim to do.”

The tour, which is presented by Red Bull Sound Select (RBSS), hits NYC on October 14 at Bowery Ballroom. Like most RBSS shows, admission to all shows on the tour is just $3 at the door with RSVP or $10 without. RSVP at redbullsoundselect.com/. Entry is first come, first served.

All dates are listed, with the tour flyer and a stream of the new song, below.
