Power 105.1's Powerhouse went down at Newark's Prudential Center on Saturday (10/26), and in addition to the already-stacked lineup, the show was full of surprises. Cardi B could be seen watching Migos from the crowd while holding her and Offset's daughter Kulture, and then eventually she joined the group on stage (wearing a sexy nurse Halloween costume) to play her Offset collab "Clout."
Co-headliner Meek Mill also brought two surprise guests on stage: NYC rappers Young M.A and Pop Smoke, both of whom played the Powerhouse pre-show in Brooklyn a few days earlier. Young M.A did her 2016 breakout hit "OOOUUU" and then played "Big" off her recently-released, long-awaited debut album Herstory in the Making, while Pop Smoke did the song that made him go viral this past summer, "Welcome to the Party," along with "Dior."
DaBaby brought fellow Powerhouse performer Lil Baby (and some large dancing inflatable babies) on stage to perform their collab "Baby." They'll likely do that again at their Westchester County Center show in November, which is part of DaBaby's tour (which includes a just-added Terminal 5 show).
Earlier in the night, Megan Thee Stallion was the first to play, and as she's done before, she held a twerking contest on stage during "Simon Says." It's a bummer that one of the year's biggest breakout stars had to play so early, but maybe she just needed time to get over to 30 Rock to perform with Chance the Rapper on SNL that same night.
Powerhouse also boasted sets from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Davido, Saweetie, Polo G, and Lil Tjay. Pictures are in the gallery above and some videos are below.
