Mike Birbiglia's 'The New One' coming to Netflix in November

Mike Birbiglia‘s current show, The New One, which had both Off Broadway and Broadway runs, is coming to Netflix on November 26. It was filmed last year as part of The New One‘s Broadway run and Mike notes that the release date is just a couple days before Thanksgiving: “It touches on a bunch of uncomfortable topics but isn’t that what Thanksgiving is about?” It also touches on fatherhood, hence the title. They haven’t shared an official trailer yet, but you can watch an announcement video made by Mike, below.

Before that, Mike will wrap up his The New One standup tour with a five-week run at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre from October 23 – November 24. Tickets are on sale now and those will be the last live performances of The New One. After that, it’s onto the next one (which he’s already been working on).
