Rory Ferreira continues to be one of the most prolific indie rappers around. After releasing the milo album who told you to think??!!?!?!?! in 2017 and the scallops hotel album sovereign nose of (y)our arrogant face in early 2018, he returned this month with the self-titled debut album Nostrum Grocers, his collaborative project with likeminded artist Elucid. Elucid is also having a prolific year, which has included the release of his album Shit Don't Rhyme No More (which, among other things, samples Bjork and namedrops Godspeed You! Black Emperor) and his collaborative album with producer Haj of Dumhi, No Edge Ups In Uganda. If you're a fan of milo or Elucid's solo work (or other multisyllabic indie rap like Aesop Rock), you're probably gonna dig the Nostrum Grocers album too. It's full of fast-paced, mind-bending lyricism and forward-thinking production, and it's a thrilling listen. Stream it below.

Nostrum Grocers will celebrate their album with a Brooklyn release show on Sunday (8/19) at Elsewhere Zone One with Malik Abdul-Rahmaan and Pink Navel. Tickets are on sale.

milo also has a tour of his own, where he'll be backed by the Ruby Yacht house band (his label). Kenny Segal is opening all dates, including the Brooklyn show on 10/7 at Knitting Factory (tickets). All dates are listed below.

Elucid is also playing Brooklyn's Dark DIY Fest on 9/25 at Color Scenes (5 Central Ave) with Blacker Face, BLVCKPUNX, Tavishi, Monsters of Brooklyn, Hadaiyah Yaya Bey, and many others. Full lineup and tickets here.
