The documentary Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records, which chronicles the storied Chicago record store and industrial music label, will be going on the road for a six-date “Wax Trax! experience” tour co-presented by House of Vans and Record Store Day. They’ll featuring screenings of the film and — this is cool — a performance by Ministry who will play a “Wax Trax! era, early 90’s set” with nothing on the setlist past 1992’s Psalm 69. Cold Cave, who definitely recall classic-era Wax Trax! bands, will be opening all dates.

There will also be a post-screening Q&A  with panelists Paul Barker (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface), Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, KMFDM), documentary director Julia Nash, Rick Wojcik (Dusty Groove Records owner), and Record Store Day’s Carrie Colton. If you’re wondering, Paul Barker will not be playing with Ministry at these shows but Chris Connelly may be. Stay tuned.

The tour kicks off in Chicago on Record Store Day (4/13) and then hits Brooklyn (4/15), Toronto (4/17), Austin (4/19), San Francisco (4/22), and Los Angeles (4/23). Venues are still TBA but the shows are all free and tickets will be distributed at local independent record stores on Record Store Day.

Record Store Day hasn’t revealed its list of 2019 list of exclusive titles but it does include the soundtrack for Industrial Accident which features tracks by KMFDM, Front 242, Laibach, Chris Connelly, The Young Gods, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and more. The DVD/Blu-ray of the film is also out on Record Store Day.
