Ministry share new song "Alert Level (Quarantined Mix)"

Ministry have shared a new single, “Alert Level (Quarantined Mix),” which is a taster for the new album the industrial vets have in the works. “We finished the song in January and it sounded great during rehearsals for our Australia/Japan tour dates, before we went into quarantine,” Al Jourgensen says of the new single. “The original plan was to finish the new record before the July ‘Industrial Strength’ US tour so we could have an Election Day release, but in lieu of the circumstances—and how relevant the song feels for these bizarre times—we decided to release ‘Alert Level’ now. Considering that this song features the question ‘How concerned are you?’ I’ll be interested to see how folks answer it themselves.” As Al notes, even though it was finished in January, “Alert Level” feels very now, as does the classic, Ministry-style bombast of the production. Watch the “Alert Level” lyric video below.

As to Ministry’s Industrial Strength tour, which is a 30th anniversary celebration of A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and is set to have them out in July with KMFDM & Front Line Assembly, it’s still on for now though it’s seeming less likely as many major summer tours and festivals have already been postponed or canceled.

Al was a guest on Bill Burr’s Monday Morning podcast this week to talk about “Alert Level” and you can listen to that below, too.
