The Kauffman Center’s Ecstatic Music series continued this past Saturday (2/29) at Merkin Hall with a double-header featuring composer Missy Mazzoli and Warp electronic artist Kelly Moran. In addition to their own sets, Missy and Kelly combined forces at the end of the evening, including world premieres of Mazzoli’s “The Night Ahead” and “No Real Fate,” for piano four-hands and electronics, and Moran’s “Don’t Trust Mirrors,” for two pianos, one prepared. Ecstatic Music takes March off, but will be back April 2 at Merkin Hall for Bell Orchestre & Metropolis Ensemble (tickets).
