As we've mentioned, Scotland's Mogwai released their eighth album, Rave Tapes, earlier this week, and it was also just announced that the Scottish post-rock greats will be playing Coachella this year. That's big news from the Mogwai camp, but they're not done yet -- Mogwai's channeling their heritage and putting out a limited edition Scotch, RockAct81w, named for the next available slot in the Rock Action catalogue. RockAct81w is being produced at the Glenallachie Distillery, which is in Speyside, so expect something with a lighter profile, possibly grassy or sweet. Only 324 bottles are being made, and it will be available on January 28 for £55.

In other booze-related news, big stuff out of South Florida today as Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami this morning and charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license when police saw Biebs street racing in a residential area of Miami Beach. Bieber was in a tasteful yellow (banana?) Lamborghini, his opponent a red Ferrari. They were doing 55-60mph in a 30. Despite a litany of legal woes, this is Bieber's first arrest.

Some details from CNN, quoting Miami Police Chief Raymond Martinez:

The officer pulled Bieber's car over, but the singer was "was not cooperating with the officer's instructions," Martinez said.

"At first, he was a little belligerent, using some choice words questioning why he was being stopped and why the officer was even questioning him," he said.

"When he opened up the window and confronted Mr. Bieber, he smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage," Martinez said. The officer believed "Bieber may have been impaired."

Bieber failed his sobriety test. Martinez told reporters that Bieber "made some statements that he had consumed some alcohol, and that he had been smoking marijuana and consumed some prescription medication." According to the arrest report, when pulled over, Bieber asked "Why did you stop me?" and when the arresting officer asked Bieber to exit the vehicle, Bieber asked "Why the fuck are you doing this?" You can read the whole report, with a lot more "What the fuck"s and an "I ain't got no fucking weapons" over at Gawker and video of the arrest is below (via TMZ)

CNN notes that two SUVs blocked the road so Bieber could race, bringing to mind a potential Bieber Fast and Furious casting. South Florida police are also investigating a report that police officers escorted Bieber's caravan between strip clubs in Miami over the weekend without authorization. Back in LA, LA police executed a felony search warrant on Bieber's house, seizing Bieber's iPhone and security camera system in an investigation into who threw eggs at Bieber's neighbor's house. Somehow, the eggs did $20k in damage.

Read about more of Bieber's legal troubles over at CNN, including the one where a neighbor accused Bieber of spitting in his face.
