Molly Burch grew up in Los Angeles (her parents both worked in Hollywood) but was interested in music from an early age, attending University of North Carolina in Asheville to study Jazz Vocal Performance. "I was always really interested in singing before songwriting. I didn’t always have the confidence to write,” Molly says, “Initially it was more about finding the right songs to complement my voice." After moving to Austin, TX, Molly began writing songs, hitting on a sound, sad and lonesome, that fit her smoky voice. Her debut album, Please Be Mine, will be out February 17 via Captured Tracks and you can check out videos for "Downhearted" and "Try," below.

Molly will play a NYC record release show at Union Pool on March 3 and tickets are on sale now. After that, she'll be on tour with Ought frontman Tim Darcy (who has a solo album on the way) and they'll play dates on either side of SXSW. All are listed below.

Tim Darcy will be on tour before meeting up with Molly, including a couple shows in the NYC area.
