Montreal synthwave duo Essaie Pas released new LP on DFA, touring (dates, LP stream)

Montreal duo Essaie Pas are Marie Davidson and Pierre Guerineau who make dark slinky synthwave that could be the soundtrack to a postpunk noir thriller set in 1980. Their new album, Demain est une autre nuit (“Tomorrow is another night”), just came out on DFA and you can listen to the whole thing via a full-album lyric video, plus check out the official video for “Le port du masque est de rigueur,” below.

Essaie Pas will be playing some live dates soon, including NYC’s Trans-Pecos on March 11 with DJ Richard and Sadaf. Tickets are on sale. All dates are listed below.
