Montreal band Anemone took their name from a Brian Jonestown Massacre song, and like it, they make melodic psych pop. Led by songwriter Chloé Soldevila, the quintet also features a couple members of Elephant Stone, and there's a bit of sun-dappled baroque in the arrangements. The band are finishing up work on their debut album but you can check out two demos right now.

Anemone have been on tour with Mild High Club, and that wraps up this week with two sold-out NYC shows: Mercury Lounge tonight (10/25) and Park Church Co-Op on Thursday (10/26). If you're going do get there early to catch Anemone's set. Anemone will also play the 2018 edition of M for Montreal in November.
