Moogfest announces 2018 lineup led by female, non-binary & transgender artists

The 2018 edition of Moogfest happens May 17 – 20 in Durham, NC and they’ve just announced its initial lineup, which is led by female, non-binary, and transgender artists, including a keynote conversation with privacy rights and political transparency activist Chelsea Manning on The Future of Creativity. Among the 2018 performers are SOPHIE, Jamila Woods, Kristin Kontrol, LCD Soundsystem’s Gavin Rayna Russom, theremin virtuoso Armen Ra, the U.S. debut of Japanese artist Midori Takada, plus Maliibu Miitch, Fatima Al Qadiri, Annie Hart, Ellen Allien, Lawrence Rothman, Amber Mark, Jenny Hval, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Katie Gately, and more. A limited quantity of Moogfest passes are on sale now. Along with the lineup announcement comes “Always On,” a 50-hour livestream with continuous performances from female, transgender, and non-binary artists which is underway now and includes Madame Ghandi, Annie Hart, Emily Wells, and more.
