Morrissey on Broadway: Night 7 (photo: @adamtanner)

Morrissey played The Smiths' "I Won't Share You" for the first time ever at final night of his Broadway run (video, setlist)

Morrissey wrapped up his seven-night Broadway residency on Saturday night (5/11) and, unlike Friday night, this was a pretty different setlist than we’d seen previously at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Most notably, he played The Smiths’ autoharp ballad “I Won’t Share You,” which closes the band’s final album, Strangeways Here We Come, in full for the first time ever as a solo artist or with The Smiths (according to Setlist.fm and Smiths’ fan site Passions Just Like Mine). (He has teased it, acapella, at shows before, like at Wednesday’s.) Watch video of that below.

He also played “Last of the Famous International Playboys” (which opened the night), and “Irish Blood, English Heart” for the first time during the Broadway run on Saturday night as well, along with “How Soon is Now?,” “Girl Afraid,” “What She Said,” solo cuts “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” “You’re the One for Me, Fatty,” “First of the Gang to Die,” “Alma Matters,” and more. Check out the Night 7 setlist, plus Instagram pics and videos, below.

You can also check out out setlist and video from Morrissey’s entire Broadway run here. Morrissey returns to NYC at the end of summer when his tour with Interpol hits Forest Hills Stadium on September 9 (tickets).
