Morrissey shares 5th Dimension "Wedding Bell Blues" cover ft. Billie Joe

Morrissey‘s new all-covers album, California Sun, is out on May 10 and he’s just shared his version of Laura Nyro’s song “Wedding Bell Blues” (aka “Marry Me Bill”) that was a #1 hit for The 5th Dimension in 1969. The cover features Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and The Regrettes’ Lydia Night on backing vocals who you mainly hear chiming in on the “Bill”s. Morrissey doesn’t stray too far from The 5th Dimension’s original arrangement and you can listen to that below.

Morrissey will be in NYC for his sold-out Broadway show run.
