Mount Eerie's Phil Elverum & Michelle Williams got married!

It has come to the attention of the internet that Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum and actress Michelle Williams got married in a private ceremony in the Adirondacks earlier in July, as revealed in a Vanity Fair interview. Michelle called her relationship with Phil “very sacred and very special;” she says that Phil and his daughter moved from their home in Anacortes, Washington to join her in Brooklyn (her well-documented residence.) Congrats to them (and welcome to the neighborhood, Phil!)

Phil’s daughter is from his first wife, artist Geneviève Elverum, who he lost in 2016 after a battle with cancer. His grief is well documented via his two most recent albums, especially the heartbreaking and very critically-acclaimed A Crow Looked At Me, but also its followup from earlier this year, Now Only.

Michelle also has a daughter from actor Health Ledger, who passed away over 10 years ago.
