Mountain Jam 2018 daily lineups
Mountain Jam 2018 goes down June 15-17 at Hunter Mountain in the Catskills, and today the daily lineups have been revealed.
Friday has Sturgill Simpson, Portugal. The Man, Steve Gunn, Woods, and more. Saturday has alt-J, The War On Drugs, The Decemberists, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, The Felice Brothers, Everything Everything, and more. Sunday has Father John Misty, Kurt Vile, Jade Bird, and more.
There are also some “unique non-music events” newly-announced:
Mountain Jam has always been known for much more than just its electrifying music lineups, and this year’s programming aptly builds on that tradition. The festival promises a host of activities that aim to keep the environment as blissful as possible while also highlighting the amazing pursuits of Mountain Jam’s regional arts community:
* An expanded yoga program will offer 14 different classes each morning across all three days of the festival; this will include an array of disciplines – from AcroYoga and Kundalini to sound healing and Yin.
* Pioneering visual artists from the Hudson Valley and Catskills will present unique multi- disciplinary works inspired by Mountain Jam: oil painting from Jack Laroux, visual sculptures from Shelley Parriot and lyrical pieces from Michael Hunt.
* Philadelphia-based children’s entertainment company Jump, Jive, Jam will curate Mountain Jam’s Kidz Zone while parents will enjoy that the Kids Activity Tent is in direct view of the main stage. The Paul Green Rock Academy and Ratboy Jr will once again musically entertain families on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
* Additional entertainment includes hula hoop lessons for all ages and performances from world-class Fire Dancers each evening.
