As mentioned, Mr. Bungle are reuniting for the first time in nearly 20 years to play the songs from their thrash-inspired 1986 demo The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny for the first time in over 30 years at seven US shows. The band -- which will include original members Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Trey Spruance with thrash legends Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer) -- have now also announced a killer hand-picked list of openers for these shows.

They've got different openers each night, with industrial rap newcomers Ho99o9 and thrash vets Hirax in LA on 2/5, San Diego death metal greats Cattle Decapitation and comedian Neil Hamburger in LA on 2/6, sludge legends Melvins and noise rockers Cunts (mem Retox, Dead Cross, Qui) in LA on 2/7, hardcore vets Victims Family and long-running grinders Intestinal Disgorge in San Francisco on 2/8, modern grindcore greats Full of Hell and rising sludgegazers Spotlights in NYC on 2/10, NYHC vets Antidote and avant-garde metallers Cleric in NYC on 2/11, and back-in-action death metal progenitors Possessed and Neil Hamburger in San Francisco on 2/13.

Trey Spruance says:

Putting these shows together it occurred to us that this was a great opportunity to expose unsuspecting audiences to some of the absolutely legendary thrash, death metal and hardcore bands that originally inspired us in the mid 80s. And if we're going to do that, why not re-unite with some of the equally legendary bands we were close with in the 90s? And why just concentrate on the past? Of the current bands that have taken some kind of inspiration from the heavier side of Mr. Bungle in doing their own thing, why not invite the select few that have managed to inspire us back?

All seven shows are sold out. See the full list and listen to some of the openers below...
