Oakland's MUSK put out one of the better, somewhat overlooked psych/garage punk albums of late with their self-titled 2014 debut, and they're now set to give it a followup. For this album, they've signed to Gerard Cosloy's 12XU label, and the album -- titled Musk 2 : The Second Skumming -- will be out on August 19 (pre-order). The band recently shared "Raw Nite" off the album (via Decibel), and we're now premiering another track from it, "Hip Pain." Both songs make Musk 2 look very promising for any fans of scuzzy Stooges-inspired garage rock. If that's you, check these out below.

MUSK also have a few East Coast shows coming up in August, including Brooklyn's Union Pool on 8/26. That show is with Woman and local production legend Martin Bisi ("and friends"). If you get the chance to catch these guys while they're here, we recommend it. All dates are listed below.

8/26 - Brooklyn NY @ Union Pool w/ Woman & Martin Bisi and Friends
