Mutual Benefit now labelmates with Grammy-nominated Courtney Barnett, touring with Deer Tick in March

Jordan Lee’s NYC-based chamber pop collective Mutual Benefit last released Love’s Crushing Diamond in 2013 and then gave it a re-release on Other Music in 2014. Now they’ve signed to Mom + Pop, who will announce their next album at some point next year. That makes them labelmates with Neon Indian, Cloud Nothings, Courtney Barnett (who was announced today as a Best New Artist Grammy nominee), and more.

Mutual Benefit also announced a tour supporting Deer Tick in March, where Deer Tick will be playing acoustic sets. No NYC dates on that tour, but Deer Tick are playing here twice on 12/30 and New Year’s Eve. All of those dates are listed below.
