MMJ One Big Holiday

My Morning Jacket‘s concert vacation One Big Holiday returns for its fourth edition on March 2-6, 2018, and this year it moves to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. MMJ will play three full shows, and the lineup also includes Portugal. The Man, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Spoon, Broken Social Scene, Toots and The Maytals, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Sylvan Esso, Moon Taxi, J. Roddy Walston and The Business, and Hurray for the Riff Raff. There will be late night jams and DJ sets each night, including DJ Britt Daniel of Spoon, DJ Made of Oak (aka Nick from Sylvan Esso), and the Patrick Hallahan & David Givan DJ party.

In addition to the music, One Big Holiday has artist-led workshops, poolside contests and games, specialty programs, daily yoga, and a planned theme night. MMJ says, “Stoked for the change, and this time we embrace The Caribbean! After three years of launching into Mayan orbit, we are ready to share new constellations, beauty and wonder.”

The presale for returning guests begins July 25 at noon EST and the public on-sale begins July 26 at noon EST. Roll Call members (who haven’t attended One Big Holiday before) can opt into the presale by filling out a form on MMJ’s website beginning today (7/18) and ending Friday (7/21) at 11:59 PM.

MMJ just brought their tour to NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium with Gary Clark Jr over the weekend. Pictures here.
