Cult series Mystery Science Theater 3000 got canceled by Netflix last year, but it’s coming back for a special lockdown livestream edition on May 3 at 6 PM Eastern (which is, as the theme song goes, “next Sunday, AD”). The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live Riff-Along features low budget sci-fi film Moon Zero Two that was used in the very first season of MST3K as well as never-before-riffed short Circus Day. On the film choice, series creator Joel Hodgson told AV Club, “We tend to ignore the first season, because we got so much better the next season—we had a bunch of shows under our belts, so we just improved so much…there’s so much in there.”

Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live Riff-Along will feature the recent MST3K touring cast:  “Emergency Host” Emily Crenshaw (Emily Marsh), Tom Servo (Conor McGiffin), Crow T. Robot (Nate Begle), and GPC (Yvonne Freese). Joel Hodgson will also be on hand to answer fan questions during the livestream on  YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. The special will also stream on the MST3K channels on Pluto TV, Stirr, Xumo, Redbox, and Vizio.
