Mystikal indicted on rape and kidnapping charges
New Orleans rapper and early '00s hitmaker Mystikal has been indicted on first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping charges, KSLA reports (via Pitchfork). He is one of three people indicted in connection to an October 22, 2016 assault that took place at a casino in Shreveport. Mystikal reportedly turned himself in "to get this business reconciled, get this behind me, man." His bond has been set at $3 million.
As the KSLA article points out, Mystikal also pleaded guilty to sexual battery and extortion charges in 2003. After being released in 2010, he faced five years probation and was required to register as a sex offender in Louisiana.
