Nada Surf releasing 'Let Go' covers LP ft. Manchester Orchestra, Long Winters, Aimee Mann & more

Nada Surf are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their classic Let Go by playing it in full on tour this year, and today they announced that they’re also releasing a full covers album of Let Go, with takes by Manchester Orchestra, The Long Winters, Holly Miranda, Aimee Mann, Victoria Bergsman, William Tyler, Rogue Wave, Ed Harcourt, Charly Bliss and more. It’s called Standing at the Gates: the Songs of Nada Surf’s Let Go, and Nada Surf is self-releasing it digitally on February and on CD on March 2. Proceeds go to the ACLU and The Pablove Foundation.

The first cover released from the album is Ron Gallo‘s roots-rockin’ take on “Happy Kid,” and you can stream that one and see the full tracklist below.

As mentioned, Nada Surf’s Let Go tour hits NYC on March 8 at Brooklyn Steel (tickets). All dates are listed below.
