Nellie McKay is reviving her A Girl Named Bill – The Life and Times of Billy Tipton show for a spring 2017 tour. The show is a “revue with dialogue” and is “the true story of Billy Tipton, a jazz musician who lived as a man from the time she was 19 until ‘he’ died at age 74 and was discovered to be female.” Watch the trailer below.

The tour includes two NYC shows, early and late shows at Le Poisson Rouge on April 10. Tickets for the 7 PM show and the 9:30 PM show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Nellie also made us a playlist of “Songs to Walk Your Dog To – a song for every four-footed tempo.” It includes Morrissey, Yoko Ono, Mimi & Richard Farina, and more. (You may want to add Nellie’s own “The Dog Song” to this.) Listen to the whole thing below.
