New-classical-music collective New Amsterdam Presents hosts its inaugural year-end benefit show in Brooklyn at Baby’s All Right tonight (12/16). Trevor Wilson and Vocal Ensemble, electronic pop artist Son Lux and the JACK Quartet performing William Brittelle‘s Future Shock are on the lineup. No advance tickets, but to RSVP you can email [email protected]. See videos by all three artists below.

New Amsterdam Presents is an affiliate of New Amsterdam Records, whose 2013 included releases by the Knells and itsnotyouitsme. There’s plenty in the pipeline for the concert-presenting group, including concerts during 2014 Winter Jazz Fest and the 2014 Ecstatic Music Festival. You can see all their upcoming concerts here.

In other label news, two of their 2013 releases have been nominated for Grammys. Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society’s Brooklyn Babylon is up in the Best Large Jazz Ensemble category. The big band plays SubCulture on January 11th as part of the 2014 Winter Jazz Fest. Roomful of Teeth’s self-titled debut was also nominated, in three categories: Best Engineer for Classical Album, Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, and Best Contemporary Classical Composition for Caroline Shaw’s “Partita for 8 Voices.” That group has a WJF show too, at Judson Church on January 10th.
