Polonaise Terrace: Home of the new Brooklyn Night Bazaar

new Brooklyn Night Bazaar taking over Polonaise Terrace space in Greenpoint, opening in August

Back in March, we mentioned that the organizers behind the much-missed Brooklyn Night Bazaar were working on securing a new venue so that they could re-open. It’s officially happening, taking over the space which was the iconic Greenpoint banquet hall Polonaise Terrace (Manhattan Ave at Greenpoint Ave) which closed in 2013. Gothamist has some photos and details about the new BK Bazaar:

while their old home is now being transformed into an enormous new restaurant / retail design store / co-working space, the new Polonaise Terrace building will feature a Night Bazaar much weirder than its predecessor. “This still has so much character. The fact that they left the mirrors in is awesome for what we do.”

“We always go into spaces and have to make them our own,” Klein continued. “There’s always been a unique design concept. But in here, the bones are already pretty fucking cool and we’d be idiots not to embrace it. When you walk in it’s like The Shining meets Scarface.”

That’s cool they’re leaving the kitschy charm of Polonaise Terrace intact. The three floor venue will have a medium/small venue on the top floor, a restaurant and full floor of vendors on the main floor, and a lower level entertainment hub with an arcade, miniature golf, and karaoke rooms. Stay tuned for more details.
