The lineup for the 2019 edition of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is out, and as rumored, it's headlined by The Rolling Stones. They play on Thursday, May 2, shortly after beginning their 2019 U.S. tour.

The very eclectic lineup stretches far beyond jazz as usual, and also includes Chris Stapleton, Van Morrison, J Balvin, John Fogerty, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue with Nevilles, Katy Perry, Al Green, Gladys Knight, Leon Bridges, Chaka Khan (who is releasing her first album in 12 years in February), Bob Seger (who says he's retiring from touring soon), Santana, Herbie Hancock, Tom Jones, The Doobie Brothers, Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Alanis Morissette, Ciara, Gary Clark Jr., Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples, The Head and The Heart, Jimmy Cliff, Big Freedia, Kamasi Washington, Buddy Guy, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ani DiFranco, Hurray for the Riff Raff, The Soul Rebels, A Tribe Called Red, and more. See the full lineup on the poster above, and the lineups by day here.

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of New Orleans Jazz Fest, and organizers are celebrating by adding an extra day to its two weekends. Both will run Thursday through Sunday, April 25 – 28 and May 2 – 5, 2019, at the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, LA.

Single day tickets and VIP packages go on general sale Friday, January 18 at 10 AM. GA single day tickets aren't valid on May 2, when The Rolling Stones play, and must be purchased separately.
