New Pornographers @ Maxwell's Report, Pic & More Tour Dates
The New Pornographers played Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ last night (Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005). I wasn’t there. Neither was Neko.
Gopster was there, and they reported:
bad news: kathryn is not neko.
good news: damn good album preview. they played a craplod of songs from their past two albums. ac newman still sounds like ac newman. kurt was awesome. still a great show.
Wassanova was there too, and that’s where I got the above photo.
Solace (More Cowbell) wasn’t there because he lives in Minneapolis, but he told us that besides tonight’s 2nd show at Maxwell’s and the free show in Prospect Park Saturday night, the Pornographers will be back in NYC at Webster Hall on October 12th and 13th.
Stereogum posted another track from the new album that comes out in August.
