The Spring/Summer 2019 edition of the semi-annual New York Fashion Week is officially upon us, and with it a bunch of secret, invite-only, or otherwise hard to get into parties, after-parties, shows, and special events... some of which have cool musical guests, if you can get in to see them. We posted about Lauryn Hill, who performed at a Woolrich party on Wednesday (9/5) night, as well as Lil Kim, who walked the runway at VFiles' big Barclays Center bash the same night. On Thursday (9/6) night, Lykke Li performed at Cartier's 5th Ave flagship store; Papermag writes that she wore Alexander Wang for the occasion (and her dress is even available on the brand's website).

Japanese Breakfast, who Vogue called the "newest festival style star to watch" in July, was in NYC for NYU's Mystery Concert on Tuesday (9/4), and she stuck around to perform at Forty Five Ten/Tenoversix's party on Wednesday night. The Cut said Dev Hynes of Blood Orange was spotted in the crowd in the basement of Chinatown's Straylight, as well.

Cardi B has been seen in the audience at a few different NYFW events, including Thursday night's Jeremy Scott show, where her husband (and Migos member) Offset walked the runway, making, according to Billboard, his modeling debut. He wore a hot pink sweater covered in Pikachu graphics, as you can see below:

The Jeremy Scott afterparty doubled as opening night for the new Times Square Playboy Club. Papermag reports that Lizzo, Quavo, Saweetie, Kali Uchis, Amanda Lepore, and Kim Petras were all seen in the crowd:

Lizzo, gorgeous in a pink velvet ruched dress and sparkling choker — a look she described as "Madonna-inspired, pink marshmallow diamond pillow fuck me" — was here for the bunnies. "I want to be a Playboy bunny so let's fucking go!" she laughed. "I want to be the first fat Playboy bunny... Besides Anna Nicole. Rest in peace."

Lizzo and Saweetie also performed at Galore Magazine's NYFW Kickoff Party at Ludlow House on Wednesday:

Still to come at Fashion Week is Harper's Bazaar's fifth annual ICONS party, which happens Friday (9/7) night at The Plaza Hotel, with Christina Aguilera set to perform. Bruce Springsteen, Kanye West, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Steven Tyler, Erykah Badu and their children are all featured in the September issue of the magazine for editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld’s fifth annual Icons portfolio: BAZAAR ICONS 2018: The First Families of Music.

On Sunday (9/9), Adidas and The Do-Over throw The Do-Over Brooklyn at Brooklyn Mirage, with "mystery guest DJs" to be announced. Free early bird RSVPs are closed/sold out, but $5 guaranteed entry tickets are still available (for now).

Also on Sunday is the Essence Street Style Festival, with performances from Teyana Taylor and Yemi Alade, DJ sets from Olivia Dope and Jasmine Solano, and an award ceremony honoring Kelis and fashion influencer Kellie Brown. Comedian/musician Amanda Seales (of Insecure and more) hosts, and tickets are on sale.

We're not sure what Telfar's show on Sunday will entail, but it's likely to be interesting - previous parties have included Cam'ron headlining the White Castle Collection release party and performances from Kelela, Dev Hynes, and Kelsey Lu.

On Monday and Tuesday (9/10-9/11), Rolling Stone presents Rolling Stone Styled, "two days of music, culture, and style." Registration is free, and Waxahatchee, Billie Eilish, Dillon Francis, and Jay Ellis of Insecure are among those scheduled to be interviewed.

Last but not least, Rihanna is set to close out this season's fashion week with an "immersive experience" in Brooklyn for her Savage x Fenty line of lingerie. The exact location is still TBA; stay tuned.
