Nick Cave announces new Bad Seeds album ‘Ghosteen,’ out next week

Nick Cave said at a "Conversations with Nick Cave" event in Melbourne earlier this year that a new Bad Seeds album was on the way, and now he revealed on his Red Hand Files website that the album is called Ghosteen, it's a double album, and it's out next week. He continues:

Part 1 comprises of eight songs.

The Spinning Song
Bright Horses
Waiting For You
Night Raid
Sun Forest
Galleon Ship
Ghosteen Speaks
Leviathan

Part 2 consists of two long songs, linked by a spoken word piece.

Ghosteen
Fireflies
Hollywood

The songs on the first album are the children.

The songs on the second album are their parents.

Ghosteen is a migrating spirit.

Meanwhile, Nick's "Conversations with Nick Cave" tour just hit NYC's Rose Theater over the weekend and hits NYC's Town Hall tonight (9/23). Sold out.

Nick also recently hinted that a third Grinderman album is on the way too.
