Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds cancel fall North American tour
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have canceled their fall North American tour, which was to have started September 16 in Minneapolis and wrapped up October 17 in Vancouver, and featured many dates with opener Weyes Blood. (The NYC show was to have been 9/26 at Barclays Center.) Tickets purchased will be refunded in full, and Nick says “We are working hard on plans to return to the US and Canada in 2021, and will announce details this fall.”
Nick had discussed the possibility of cancelling the North American shows earlier this spring after The Bad Seeds’ European tour was canceled. “We all are coming around to the realisation that we will need to lead very different lives for a while — short term, long term, who knows?,” Nick wrote on his Red Hand Files site.

Bad Seed TeeVee is in its infant stages, and now the project is up and running, mountains of new footage is flooding in from everywhere. We are besieged! In time, perhaps we will invite fans to send in interesting stuff they have shot on their phones while they were supposed to have been watching the concert. We want Bad Seed TeeVee to become a vast, ever-mutating monster – full of the bold, the beautiful, the berserk and the completely absurd. Thank you all so much for tuning in – at last we all have a place to go!
