Nick Waterhouse announces new album & tour (listen to "Song for Winners")

Classic soul & R&B lover Nick Waterhouse will release his eponymous fourth album via Innovative Leisure on March 8. Nick co-produced the album which features a band of Bart Davenport, percussionist Andres Renteria (Flying Lotus, Father John Misty), flutist Ricky Washington (father of Kamasi), and saxophonists Paula Henderson (Gogol Bordello) and Mando Dorame (JD McPherson). The first single is “Song for Winners” which dips a toe into surfy garage. Says Nick: “‘Song For Winners’ is for plot-losers, hatchet men, brand identitarians; Lost confused souls chasing red herrings; For handlers, for the brokers, for the brayers; For those in power; For those angling for power; For bad writers and for, worse, perfect consumers; Hear it, riding slow through Californian streets at night hearing those sharp, reverberating snare hits – Lutheran nails in all their doors.” Listen below.

Nick will support the album on tour this spring, hitting L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, NYC, Philly, DC, Atlanta and more. The NYC show happens at Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 14. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, January 11 at 10 AM with an AmEx presale beforehand.
