Nitzer Ebb played Brooklyn on first North American tour in a decade (pics, setlist)
Iconic industrial/EBM group Nitzer Ebb are on their first North American tour in about a decade and unfortunately had to start it a couple members down: David Gooday and Simon Granger are not joining them on this leg due to visa issues. Still, founding members Bon Harris and Douglas McCarthy were in the house on Friday (5/10) at Elsewhere for a set of Ebb classics, and the crowd did indeed join in the chant for most of their best-known songs, including “Murderous,” “Control I’m Here,” “Godhead,” “Lightning Man” and, yes, “Join in the Chant.” Setlist is below.
Germany’s Liebknecht opened the show and pictures from the whole night are in the gallery above. McCarthy and Harris will be back in Brooklyn for a second Nizter Ebb show at Elsewhere on Saturday (5/18) and tickets are still available. Once this spring tour wraps up, Nitzer Ebb will head back to Europe but then return, hopefully, with the full band, for more shows in September and October.
