no McCarren Park shows during Northside Festival this year

After Brooklyn's Northside Festival announced its 2018 lineup, you may have been wondering if they were still going to add the outdoor shows in McCarren Park that they usually do, but it turns out that there won't be any this year. Northside writes:

In year 10 of the festival, Northside is continuing to do what we've always done: bring you the best new talent from Brooklyn and beyond. This year, that commitment is taking a slightly different shape.

While we won't be setting up shop in McCarren Park over the weekend, you'll still find us at the clubs bringing dozens of showcases and hundreds of artists to the stage across North Brooklyn.

And here's the real show-stopper: it's all culminating with an inaugural boat cruise!

The boat cruise they're referring to is the recently announced Rocks Off Cruise with Parquet Courts and Hailu Mergia, which is one of Parquet Courts' upcoming three NYC shows.
