No Vacation back from vacation, touring to SXSW (listen to their Topshelf EP)

Originally formed in San Francisco early in 2015, ethereal band No Vacation released two mixtapes, Amo XO and Summer Break Mixtape, and then went into hibernation later that same year. After experimenting with a few different other names and lineups, the group reactivated No Vacation and released new EP, Intermission, in 2017 via Topshelf Records. It’s a mellow listen that skims the brighter side of the dream pop spectrum. Listen to it below.

No Vacation are headed to SXSW, where, among other shows, they’re one of the most recent adds to the Friday (3/16) of our BrooklynVegan + Margin Walker Lost Weekend Day Parties at Cheer Up Charlies. They play at 1:30 PM on the inside stage, right after Ratboys. RSVP IS OPEN for all three days of Lost Weekend, and you find details on all 5 BrooklynVegan SXSW events this year HERE.

After SXSW, No Vacation go on to play some co-headlining shows with Hot Flash Heat Wave, including Baby’s All Right on March 25. Tickets are on sale now. NYC can also expect to see more of the band in the future — they’re moving here.
