While Crowbar may be apt to beat you down with sludge doom riffs repeatedly until the end of the record, Northless' approach is a bit different. Sure, the two share some commonalities in guitar tone, vocals, and hardcore-informed sludge, but Northless allows their riffs to breathe, ebb and flow, making those punishing moments all that more hard-edged. "Communion," the band's latest single to creep out of the gate, follows the previously released "Kuru," both of which are available on the band's forthcoming LP World Keeps Sinking, due on August 23rd from Halo of Flies / Gilead Media.

Stream both below, for the first (of many) time(s).
