NPR’s All Songs Considered and Tiny Desk Concerts host and unflagging show-goer Bob Boilen has a new book coming out, titled Your Song Changed My Life, where he talks with 35 musicians about the music that inspired them. Artists interviewed for the book include Jimmy Page, St. Vincent, Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Justin Vernon, Cat Power, David Byrne, Dave Grohl, Jeff Tweedy, Jenny Lewis, Carrie Brownstein, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, Phish’s Trey Anastasio and more.

The book is out April 12 and that night at Le Poisson Rouge, Bob is hosting a release party. Singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson, one of the musicians who contributed to the book, will join Bob to discuss the book, music, and more. (It doesn’t sound like he’s performing but you never know.) A brief audience Q&A and book signing will follow. Tickets (including an option that includes the book) are on sale now.
