Nurse Bettie Burlesque pays homage to classic pinups (NSFW pics)

Taking inspiration from Bettie Page and 1950s pinups, Lower East Side bar Nurse Bettie hosts twice-weekly burlesque shows on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Last Thursday (4/11), Julie Tease, Mademoiselle Estelle, Fanny Amour, Ms Puss n Boots, and Calamity Chang took to the Nurse Bettie stage for some striptease. Calamity Chang is also co-producer of the seventh annual Asian Burlesque Extravaganza, along with Thirsty Girl, which happens at Le Poisson Rouge on May 4 and features performances from Di'Lovely, Phoenix A'Blaze, Lillian DuJour, Celesta O'Lee, Lady Mabuhay, Coco Ono, Kaylie Kreatrix, Ms. B. LaRose, and Calamity Chang. Tickets are on sale now.
