John Mulaney, who begins his seven-show Radio City Music Hall run on Friday, did indeed play Butterboy and Whiplash on Monday. Could he make a special appearance tonight at some small show? We genuinely don't know anything but options include Greg Barris' "Mwah Mwah Mwah" show at Union Hall which features Josh Gondelman, Seaton Smith, more TBA + "special surprise guests!" (tickets); or Bobby Tisdale's "The Wards of Merkin" at Littlefield which tonight features Janeane Garofalo, Dan Licata, Brett Davis, Dave Hill and perhaps more (tickets); or maybe even "Jean and John" at The Bell House where Jean Grae and John Hodgman spin a wheel of discussion topics and has SNL's Michael Che, Aparna Nancherla and guests (tickets). And if John was to be at one of those he could theoretically be at all of them as those venues are very close to each other.
Speaking of Butterboy, this Monday (2/19) at Littlefield, Aparna, Jo and Maeve welcome Chris Gethard, Marina Franklin, Jennie Sutton, Petey DeAbreu, and more; and on 2/26 it's Josh Gondelman, Josh Sharp, Kenice Mobley, Nick Turner, and more. Tickets are available.
Aparna and Jo, along with Phoebe Robinson, Roy Wood Jr., Mike Lebovitz and "special guests" will perform at "Regular Comedy' at Murmrr Ballroom on February 24 (tickets).
For more Phoebe Robinson, she and Jessica Williams' 2 Dope Queens specials are airing every Friday (11:30 PM) this month and this week (2/16) the guest is Tituss Burgess (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).
Also, speaking of cable TV and Aparna Nancherla, she's on Comedy Central's new series Corporate which airs Wednesdays at 10:30 PM. She was also recently on Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party and you can watch her talk about her time working as a temp:
Aparna and Jo are also both performing at The Bell House on March 25 for for the first-ever "Persisticon" -- "where comedy, art and electing females collide" -- which is a benefit for Emily's List and also appearing are Bridget Everett, Sally Kohn, Murray Hill, Ophira Eisenberg, Jaclyn Friedman, Jon Glaser, Negin Farsad, and Angie Pontani (tickets).
Todd Barry, whose new Netflix special "Hot Honey" is very funny, will be appearing at Village Underground on February 19. He performs there a lot but this is a special show he's calling "Todd Barry Performs Most of His Netflix Special Live." Will the guy from Sacred Bones be at this show too? Make reservations.
What else? Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby is quitting comedy but before she does she's bringing her award winning, rather serious show "Nanette" to NYC's Soho Playhouse this spring.
Jen Kirkman will be taping an episode of her "I Seem Fun; The Diary of Jen Kirkman" podcast at The Bell House on March 2 (tickets)
