NYC punks Urochromes prep 'Trope House' LP (listen to "Milieux")

NYC/Western Mass band Urochomes make jet-fuel mutant punk, with hooks that get under your skin…and then fester. The band’s debut album, Trope House, is due out May 31 via Wharf Cat. You can huff on “Millieux,” a kiss-off ripper with lines like “that’s your milieux thinking you’re all stars in the making / I see you posing for a picture no one is taking” and even working in a John Cougar Mellencamp reference. That song premieres in this post — stream it, and a couple other songs from the LP,  below.

As mentioned, Urochromes have a few East Coast dates with Minneapolis’ Uranium Club, though not their 6/27 Brooklyn show. You can, though, see them at The Glove on June 28 with Shimmer and more TBA (more info).
